Stockroom Associate
About The Position
The Stockroom Associate manages inventory and supports the efficient flow of products through the stockroom. The role includes receiving, counting, inspecting, labeling, and storing products; monitoring stock levels; preparing shipments; assisting with order and job processing; and safely operating appropriate machinery. The associate also supports colleagues and contributes to the overall team effort. The position requires the ability to lift 25–30 pounds and stand for extended periods, attention to detail, effective communication and collaboration, and availability to work weekends when necessary. A high school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor’s degree and previous experience operating warehouse machinery are preferred. Responsibilities
- Receive incoming product shipments and verify quantities against packing lists.
- Count and inspect received items for accuracy and quality.
- Perform inventory transactions using company software to update stock levels.
- Maintain correct quantities of items on stockroom shelves.
- Generate product labels and attach them to inventory as needed.
- Identify low-stock items and communicate them to the Purchasing Department for replenishment.
- Break down and discard empty packaging materials.
- Prepare and pack products for shipment, ensuring they are protected and appropriately labeled.
- Assist with order and job processing to support customer-order fulfillment.
- Safely operate appropriate machinery in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
- Complete related tasks and assist colleagues as needed.
