Requirements

5+ years of experience in a purchasing, quality, or operations role
Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Dynamics, etc.) or other relevant computer programs

Responsibilities

Accountable for meticulously managing and expediting purchase orders for designated product lines
Thoroughly reviews and responds to daily shortage and fish queues, ship complete, make-item backorder and make-item shortage reports for all distribution centers.
Maintains appropriate service level on assigned product lines through proper and thorough use of available reports such as the on-hand critical report, “A/B” Critical queue, open purchase order report, and Item Storage queue
Directs all assigned vendors to ship merchandise in most cost-effective manner
Establishes discounted terms with vendors and maintains discounted terms that have already been established
Advises Purchasing Management of any major changes in product quality, cost, delivery, or packaging
