About The Position

As a Stock Finisher I at Weatherby, you'll bring rifle stocks to life with precision finishing techniques-hand painting, to hydrographic film application and HVLP spray coatings. Your skill ensures every Weatherby stock not only performs but also looks world-class. The Stock Finisher I is responsible for finishing Weatherby rifle stocks using a variety of techniques including hydrographic finishes, painting, sponge painting, and HVLP spray coatings. This role requires consistency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to ensure every stock meets Weatherby's quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents including safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply basic math and use measuring instruments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in standardized processes.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Ability to meet respirator use requirements, including maintaining a clean seal between the face and respirator, and completing medical evaluation and fit testing.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prep stocks for finishing operations.
  • Paint beautiful stocks that people will treasure.
  • Operate an HVLP spray gun with efficiency and consistency.
  • Apply water transfer printed films with precision.
  • Inspect all products post-coating and curing.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work area.
  • Support continuous improvement to make your department a little bit better every day.
