About The Position

Hexcel is the industry leader in the manufacturing of advanced lightweight composite materials. ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is the leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide. Hexcel is currently seeking a Finisher - 2nd Shift for our Amesbury, MA location. The Finisher is responsible for the final touches on a variety of products. They clean, debur, mark and prepare packaging for QA inspection. Finishers work in a team environment to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.
• Must have good attention to detail and be able to follow written directions
• Must have the ability to stand 8 hrs. per day
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Remove excess material from products using sanders, grinders, or other tools
• Inspect products for defects or imperfections and report any issues to supervisors/leads
• Package finished products according to specific instructions and quality standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure production quotas are achieved
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Parts are periodically measured with micrometers and gauges. Deburring tools are used to clean until any flaws are corrected
• Proactively participate in our safety-first culture
• Accurately record manufacturing data using provided software
