About The Position

Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment. The Stock Expeditor administers, under minimum supervision, the restocking of nursing units on a daily basis. Demonstrates the ability to unload and unpack daily deliveries in addition to inspecting and counting freight prior to signing.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to exercise telephone etiquette.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• Some storeroom experience is desirable.
• Past experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Takes the initiative to notify Storeroom Supervisor if any shipments are damaged in transit.
• Makes sure to inquire on replacement and/or returns.
• Effectively restocks inventory to proper locations in the storeroom upon receipt.
• Makes simple judgments on filling storeroom supply orders and always notifies Supervisor on overstocked areas while restocking.
