About The Position
Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment. The Lead Stock Expeditor administers, under minimum supervision, the restocking of nursing units on a daily basis. Demonstrates the ability to unload and unpack daily deliveries in addition to inspecting and counting freight prior to signing.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to exercise telephone etiquette.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
- Hospital supply chain experience preferred.
- Some storeroom experience is desirable.
- Past experience in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Takes the initiative to notify Storeroom Supervisor if any shipments are damaged in transit.
- Makes sure to inquire on replacement and/or returns.
- Effectively restocks inventory to proper locations in the storeroom upon receipt.
- Makes simple judgments on filling storeroom supply orders and always notifies Supervisor on overstocked areas while restocking.
