About The Position

The Stock Clerk / Packaging Specialist performs inventory control, material handling, and packaging functions in support of TACOM supply and maintenance operations. The role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and packaging materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures to ensure proper accountability, protection, and shipment readiness. This position is contingent upon award.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred
  • Typically 1-3 years of experience in warehousing, supply, logistics, or inventory control operations
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management, material handling, and packaging procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documentation, stock records, and basic instructions
  • Experience using automated inventory or logistics systems preferred
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
  • U.S. citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting DoD, Army, or TACOM programs
  • Familiarity with Army supply systems (e.g., GCSS-Army) and procedures
  • Certification or experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of military packaging, preservation, and marking requirements (e.g., MIL-STD packaging)
  • Experience supporting inventory audits, inspections, and compliance programs
  • Basic understanding of hazardous material handling and storage requirements
  • Prior government contracting experience

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and equipment against documentation and shipping records
  • Store and organize inventory in accordance with established procedures and stock control requirements
  • Issue materials and equipment to maintenance and operational personnel as required
  • Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, marking, and documentation in accordance with military standards
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and preservation of sensitive, hazardous, or controlled items
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and transaction logs using manual or automated systems
  • Conduct routine inventory counts, location surveys, and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Coordinate with supply, maintenance, and transportation personnel to support operational requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as required and authorized
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and records
