About The Position

Busch’s is hiring a Stock Associate for its family-owned grocery retail business in Southeast Michigan. The role supports department sales and operations by helping guests, receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining shelves and displays, and keeping the department and back room clean and organized. The associate follows food-safety practices and company policies, assists with inventory preparation, and builds positive working relationships with guests, vendors, and fellow associates. The posting lists a starting wage of up to $14.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
Proficient selling skills, including asking questions, listening, and making product recommendations.
Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.

Nice To Haves

Certification for Hi Lo / Powered Pallet Jack is desired.

Responsibilities

Build department sales by recommending products, answering questions, and assisting guests.
Meet stocking efficiency goals.
Receive and verify department deliveries.
Merchandise, price, and stock products.
Set and maintain shelves and displays.
Complete price changes and maintain tags.
Keep the back room organized and clean, including the damaged-product area.
Move items from back stock to the sales floor and work the pick list.
Clean the department, including floors, shelving, and coolers.
Assist with inventory preparation.
Rotate products to minimize out-of-date items.
Follow safe food-handling and personal-hygiene practices.
Operate the point-of-sale system as needed.
Operate the cardboard baler and make bales as required.
Follow Busch’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Build strong working relationships with guests, vendors, and associates.
Demonstrate hospitality when interacting with guests.
