About The Position

The Stock Associate receives shipments and accurately maintains inventory records. The role maintains stockroom and off-site locations, and assists the sales team with replenishing the sales floor after shipments or during recovery periods. Associates may also help on the sales floor during peak times and perform assigned store maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Commitment to providing high customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ability to work as a team member and help colleagues complete tasks.
• Effective time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to remain mobile in the stockroom or on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items, with the role description specifying up to 100 pounds, using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One to two years of customer service experience and stockroom or related work experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipments as delivered.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in the stockroom or prepare it for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide feedback to a supervisor regarding inventory levels and damaged merchandise.
• Organize the stockroom by department and category, and place merchandise on appropriate shelves or in off-site locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to keep aisles and exits clear.
• Ensure merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, and logged, and can be easily located for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries.
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep the stockroom clean, swept, and organized, and remove garbage.
• Assist on the sales floor during peak times and as assigned.
• Complete tasks listed on the daily agenda or as assigned, such as store maintenance, lighting, and cleaning.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Follow stockroom procedures to minimize loss to the company.
