About The Position

Madhappy is hiring a part-time Stock Associate for its Nolita flagship store in New York City. The position reports directly to the Store Supervisor and Store Manager and is expected to work at the Nolita location. The Stock Associate supports product receiving, stockroom organization, inventory accuracy, floor replenishment, and store operations, and may assist the sales floor when needed. Madhappy is a Los Angeles-based clothing brand founded in 2017. The company uses apparel, events, and retail spaces to encourage personal expression and support improved mental well-being. It also supports mental health research and awareness through The Madhappy Foundation and publishes Local Optimist magazine.

Requirements

At least 1 year of retail associate experience.
Experience working in a small-team environment.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Ability to work for the duration of store opening, as needed.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally, patiently, and effectively with customers and team members.
Familiarity with the Madhappy brand and mission.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-traffic startup environment.
Detail-oriented and culturally aware.
Interest in fashion/apparel and mental health.
Honesty and integrity.
Ability to think critically and solve problems.
Digital awareness and interest, including comfort navigating social media and e-commerce sites.

Responsibilities

Support receiving and processing product shipments, from unboxing through preparing products for the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, organized, efficient stockroom that makes products easy for the team to access.
Restock the sales floor throughout the day and ensure styles and sizes are represented.
Assist with operational tasks, including transfers, damages, and returns to vendor (RTVs), accurately and on time.
Help set up floor sets and new product launches to support transitions from the stockroom to the sales floor.
Participate in cycle counts and inventory preparation to maintain accurate stock levels and reduce shrink.
Keep the stockroom floor-ready, with a clear purpose and place for everything.
Support the sales floor when needed, including quickly pulling products and helping the team prepare for busy days.
