About The Position

Perform stitching processes in areas of competency and in accordance with production work orders. This role involves reading production work orders, performing fabric and protective material cutting processes according to specifications, and ensuring adherence to Burlington Medical Quality Standards. The Stitcher is responsible for ensuring orders are complete and error-free before moving to the next workstation, processing orders on a first-in, first-out basis or as directed by a supervisor to maximize flow, and clarifying any work-related questions with the Quality Inspector and/or supervisor. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a safe and hazard-free work area in accordance with company 5S standards, performing and documenting assigned Preventive Maintenance, and undertaking additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Good interpersonal/communication skills and be a team player.
Basic sewing knowledge and knowledge of operation of sewing machines.
Ability to read and interpret factory work orders (detailed oriented).
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and follow through with all assignments.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Commercial/manufacturing sewing experience preferred, but not required.

Clarify with Quality Inspector and/or supervisor any questions regarding work to be performed.
Ensure work area is safe and free of hazards.
Maintain work area in accordance with company 5S standards.
Perform and document assigned Preventive Maintenance.
Additional job duties may be assigned as necessary by management.
