About The Position

SeaWorld Orlando is seeking seasonal Stilt Walkers for their Nautilus Theater. This role involves performing safely and confidently on stilts for scheduled performance sets, engaging with guests through meet-and-greets and photo opportunities, and staying in character throughout assigned performance times. Performers will wear costumes and themed attire as required, work collaboratively with the team, and maintain a positive and professional attitude. Responsibilities also include following all safety procedures and caring for costumes and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience walking on stilts is required.
• Candidates should be able to walk confidently on stilts without assistance, start, stop, and turn smoothly, navigate crowds safely, maintain balance while interacting with guests, and pose naturally for photographs.
• Demonstrate awareness of surroundings and safety.
• Strong improvisation and non-verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable performing outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent balance, endurance, and physical fitness.
• Ability to remain in costume for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Must bring proper shoes and padding.
• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in.
• Prepare a resume and headshot.

Nice To Haves

• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred.
• Experience in entertainment, theater, festivals, or theme parks is a plus.
• Actors - Great stage presence and interactive comedic skills that excel at improvisation.
• Dancers - Demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including jazz, musical theatre, ballet, and modern. Partnering skills, break dancing, tumbling, tap, or other specialties are a plus.
• Instrumentalists - Proficient in percussion, brass, woodwinds or guitar. All instrumentalists should have the ability to play varying styles ranging from pop/rock to Motown to gospel and must be able to memorize music for shows and perform with great stage presence.
• Vocalists - Great energy and stage presence who can demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, contemporary, and a cappella vocal styling. Capacity to hear/sing harmonies is a must. Sight reading skills are not required but are preferred.

• Follow all safety procedures regarding stilt performance and guest interaction.
• Care for costumes and performance equipment.
