ARG Stihl Technician
About The Position
The ARG Stihl Technician assists with repairing, receiving, stocking, pricing, and presenting STIHL merchandise, while helping maintain a clean and orderly STIHL department and shop area. The role includes diagnosing and repairing STIHL units, assembling and stocking merchandise, and completing STIHL certifications. The technician also provides friendly, customized customer service and supports general store operations, including receiving merchandise, maintaining back stock, assisting with price changes and special orders, and communicating STIHL-related issues to the General Manager. The position may operate a forklift after proper training and includes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.
- Ability to provide courteous customer service and work effectively with customers and associates.
- Ability to operate a forklift after proper training.
Nice To Haves
- Small engine repair experience.
- Formal retail experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete STIHL repairs and run diagnostics on STIHL units.
- Stock and assemble STIHL merchandise and complete STIHL certifications.
- Represent Westlake Ace Hardware positively and provide prompt, courteous, customized customer service throughout the store.
- Answer pages and calls promptly and effectively, and refer customer complaints that cannot be resolved to management.
- Maintain strong knowledge of products, store layout, and product locations.
- Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise in the STIHL department, and maintaining back stock levels.
- Maintain the daily cleanliness, orderliness, and presentation of the STIHL department and shop area, including end caps and advertised merchandise.
- Assist Department Specialists with STIHL price changes and special orders.
- Operate a forklift after receiving proper training.
- Communicate STIHL issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
- Participate in store meetings and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
