About The Position

Proof of the Pudding is a chef-led hospitality company delivering food and beverage experiences at some of North America’s most complex sports, entertainment, cultural, and live-event venues. The company serves professional and collegiate sports venues, convention centers, cultural institutions, and large-scale destination events across the United States and Internationally. Proof of the Pudding is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to help oversee all stewarding functions. Responsible for cleaning of china, glassware, silver and serving equipment; facilitating all plate-up and delivery of all food the prospective functions; set-up and breakdown of all Banquet buffets; cleaning of Food & Beverage food prep and servicing areas, to include main kitchen, concessions kitchen and back hallways. This position also includes general janitorial duties throughout the venue and parking lot. The ideal candidate is punctual, well organized, and has kitchen experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of culinary steward/prep/food & beverage supervision background is necessary
  • Must live within 25 miles of Starkville, Mississippi
  • Must be a team player
  • Planning and multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a phenomenal team-player and self-motivated with a high energy level.
  • Non-slip shoes are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the stewarding team by delegating daily tasks, and adhering to event timelines.
  • Assist and monitor deliveries of all food to prospective functions
  • Oversee and assist in delivery, set-up, and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions
  • Maintain cleanliness in all kitchens, service areas, hallways, trash bins, and parking lot
  • Running and maintenance of the main dish machine
  • This position will also include some light food prep work per the Executive Chef’s direction
