The Stewarding Supervisor will direct and assist Stewards to make cleanup more efficient. This role involves ensuring proper water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning, documenting these levels, and assisting with banquet plate-ups. The supervisor will also support cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks, provide them with needed items, and support banquets and buffets by transporting and ensuring adequate stock. Responsibilities include returning cleaned items to their proper locations and operating/maintaining cleaning equipment such as the dishwashing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. Additionally, the supervisor will assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. This role requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and ensuring guest satisfaction through welcoming interactions are also key aspects of the position. The role involves developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and ensuring quality expectations are met. Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and performing various movements like reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
