About The Position

The Steward properly cleans, stores, and maintains all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment. This role is responsible for operating dishwashing equipment, maintaining personal hygiene and sanitation standards, following proper food storage and handling procedures, and adhering to established Ecosure standards. The Steward also maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment, and cleaning of the dish area before the end of each shift. Additionally, the role involves safely handling and using chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing tableware and completing all training requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in and passion for consumer service
• Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player
• An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach
• Clean and clear service areas
• Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff
• Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, etc.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times.
• Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department.
• Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.
• Adheres to established Ecosure standards.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift.
• Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner.
• Complete all training requirements.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
