About The Position

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment? Do you take pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Steward at Little Creek! As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our main kitchen and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, as well as assisting in minor prep work, defrosting, and cleaning refrigerators and freezers. You will also ensure that our back-of-house food and beverage outlets are spotless and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18+.
  • At least 1 year of Food & Beverage cleaning experience OR three months of any other related experience or training.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Have or obtain a current Washington State Food Worker Card.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize machinery, kitchen equipment, walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, and trash cans.
  • Wash and maintain all pots, pans, dishes, chopping blocks, service equipment, and utensils.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all back-of-house food and beverage outlets.
  • Transport tools and equipment between departments and position ladders for cleaning tasks.
  • Remove trash and separate recyclable materials.
  • Mop floors, clean mats and drains in assigned areas, and deep clean kitchen hoods.
  • Carefully place washed glasses and plates into racks to prevent breakage.
  • Defrost and clean refrigerators and freezers.
