Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate with Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  • Dishwashing equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license also required.
  • Basic food prep a plus.
  • Must have an understanding of the terms clean and sanitary.
  • Must be able to work on feet quickly for an average shift, lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds, not limited to trash removal, and work in a hot and wet environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be punctual at all times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
  • Arrive to work on time, consistently.
  • Become familiar with all appropriate machinery and equipment as well as the accompanying safety features.
  • Knowledgeable of appropriate hazardous chemicals and their accompanying MSDS.
  • Bring in trash cans and mats at the beginning of your shift.
  • Set-up dishwasher for operation, informing Supervisor of any problems.
  • Insure all pots, pans, glasses, plates etc., are clean by washing and /or running all items through the dishwasher.
  • Set up pre-soak for silverware, run silverware through dishwasher twice, once on flat rack and once in green basket, separated with handles up.
  • Participate in kitchen cleaning schedule.
  • Perform tasks as requested by other kitchen staff.
  • Completion of shift, remove all waste cans, take out mats, mops, mop the floor and clean work area.
  • Perform other jobs that will assist in an efficient and top quality running kitchen as assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
