Westmoreland Country Club is seeking a dependable Steward to support its culinary operation. This role is essential to the success of the kitchen and dining experience, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency behind the scenes. The position is in a stable, private club environment and is ideal for individuals who take pride in hard work, reliability, and being part of a team that values professionalism and respect.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Previous steward or dishwasher experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils
- Maintain cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, trash areas, and equipment
- Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and organization tasks
- Support cooks and chefs with timely and organized dish flow
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health department standards
- Handle trash, recycling, and compost according to procedures
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude during busy services
