About The Position
American Place Casino is seeking a professional, detail-driven Steward to join the North Shore Steaks & Seafood fine dining kitchen team. The role supports a clean, organized, efficient kitchen and contributes to an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate works discreetly and consistently, takes responsibility for maintaining high cleanliness standards, collaborates with the back-of-house team, and remains calm under pressure. The Steward provides professional and helpful service to internal and external guests. Duties include cleaning dishes, silverware, and glassware by hand or with an automatic dishwasher; washing pots, pans, and trays; sweeping and mopping kitchen floors; removing trash from kitchen areas; and cleaning and sanitizing the dish room. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned to support kitchen cleanliness and efficiency. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications required by local gaming regulations.
Requirements
- Able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications required by local gaming regulations.
- Able to carry and balance trays of beverages.
- Able to lift up to 25–30 pounds.
- Able to stand for long periods.
- Able to navigate crowded spaces.
- Able to bend and reach as needed.
- Able to adapt to casino conditions, including bright lights and noise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three to six months of experience preferred.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to internal and external guests with a professional and helpful attitude.
- Scrape and clean dishes, silverware, and glassware by hand or using an automatic dishwasher.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Remove trash from kitchen areas.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize the dish room.
