About The Position
Mason Street Grill is seeking a hardworking and motivated Steward to help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen operations. In this role, you will be responsible for washing dishes, pots, and pans, operating dishwashing equipment, removing trash, and ensuring kitchen areas remain clean and well-maintained. Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, handcrafted cocktails, and jazz. Requirements
- Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
- Must be able to change activities quickly.
- Availability to work between 3 p.m. and 12 a.m. start times vary between 3 and 4 p.m.
- Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
- Organize clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage cans and performing general cleaning tasks.
- Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transporting soiled ware to designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
- Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.
