About The Position
The Steward supports the Food & Beverage service team by staying active and helping maintain clean, sanitary restaurant and dish-storage areas. This is a part-time position at the Hilton Garden Inn Merced in Merced, California. The role involves working on your feet and accommodating varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to think on your feet and keep up in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending or twisting, and climbing stairs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food and beverage experience.
Responsibilities
- Sort and wash dirty and used dishes and utensils.
- Return washed dishes and utensils to storage areas.
- Help keep the general restaurant area sanitary and clean, including sweeping and mopping floors and cleaning tables.
