About The Position

American Place Casino is seeking a professional, detail-driven Steward for the North Shore Steaks & Seafood fine dining team. The role supports a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and contributes to the guest experience through consistent, polished work and a helpful, professional attitude toward internal and external guests. The position is performed in a fast-paced, high-end kitchen and requires discretion, efficiency, responsibility, and a calm demeanor under pressure.

Stewards clean dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and trays by hand or using an automatic dishwasher. They also maintain the dish room and kitchen areas by cleaning and sanitizing, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing trash. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned to support kitchen cleanliness and efficiency. The role requires adapting to casino conditions, including bright lights and noise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three to six months of experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses and/or certifications required by local gaming regulations.
• Ability to carry and balance trays of beverages.
• Ability to lift up to 25–30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, navigate crowded spaces, and bend and reach.
• Ability to adapt to casino conditions, including bright lights and noise.

• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to internal and external guests while maintaining a professional and helpful attitude.
• Scrape and clean dishes, silverware, and glassware by hand or using an automatic dishwasher.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Remove trash from kitchen areas.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize the dish room.
• Perform additional reasonable duties to support kitchen cleanliness and efficiency.
