About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, china, silverware, and glasses. The role also involves storing and delivering stock, managing kitchen waste, and cleaning kitchen floors and cookers. The Steward will also be knowledgeable about casino events and promotions, assist as needed, and maintain a clean work area. Ethical conduct and adherence to company policies are expected. The role requires handling routine customer complaints and incidents with discretion to ensure positive guest relationships. A flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary. The Steward must also adhere to operating principles of being Clean, Safe, Friendly, and Fun, utilizing customer courtesy skills and interactive engagement while maintaining professional standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo Slot license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Skills in managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Skills in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skills in adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and wash all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, china, silverware, and glasses using the dishwasher as appropriate.
  • Properly store all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, china, silverware, and glasses.
  • Deliver and properly store all stock from receiving department.
  • Deliver product and stock to food outlets.
  • Take out kitchen trash, including, but not limited to, grease and food particles from garbage disposals.
  • Clean floors in the kitchen area and cookers.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities, and assist as needed.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
