About The Position

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking a motivated and hands-on Stewarding Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our Stewarding team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the resort's Food & Beverage operation by ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and efficiency of all kitchen and stewarding areas. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who leads by example, promotes teamwork, maintains high sanitation standards, and provides excellent support to culinary and restaurant operations.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in stewarding, housekeeping, kitchen operations, or a related hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the Stewarding team while maintaining Omni service standards.
  • Schedule, train, coach, and motivate stewarding associates.
  • Ensure all kitchens, dish rooms, storage areas, banquet equipment, and back-of-house areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Monitor proper cleaning and sanitation procedures in accordance with health department regulations and Omni standards.
  • Oversee dishwashing operations and ensure all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and available for service.
  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of banquet and event equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals following OSHA and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen equipment when needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization throughout all stewarding areas.
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and associate development.
  • Support resort sustainability initiatives, including recycling and waste management programs.
  • Respond quickly to operational needs while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
