About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing all pots, pans, silverware, glassware, and china used in the food and beverage operations in a clean and orderly manner. The role ensures that all food and beverage outlets have the necessary items to open their shifts and maintains a hygienic working environment. The Steward/Dishwasher also participates in deep cleaning tasks and assists the service team as needed to meet guest expectations.

Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Basic computational ability.
Self-driven and able to work independently.
Knowledge of table and bar service.
High school or equivalent education required.
Regular attendance in conformance with established standards.
Must fully comply with Azul Hospitality rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotels facilities.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots, and pans.
Operate commercial dishwashing machine and maintain a hygienic working environment.
Ensure all food and beverage outlets have sufficient items and racks for dirty dishes.
Attend to spills and breakage immediately, following proper safety procedures.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including equipment and floors.
Remove and dispose of trash bags from receptacles.
Participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet.
Report any maintenance and/or hazard issues to the supervisor.
Assist the service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
