Conveniently located at Elgin St W & Division Street, LightHouse Dental serves the Cobourg community. We offer complete, comprehensive, and high quality dental care in a relaxed environment that is welcoming to patients of all ages, including young children. We offer general dentistry as well as specialty services such as oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), dentures, and sedation (sleep dentistry) all in one convenient location. There’s no need to travel out of town for specialist appointments. Requirements

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience working in sterilization role is considered an asset
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
  • Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations
  • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols
  • Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow
