About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for overseeing inventory and distribution of equipment and supplies, controlling inventory, reordering supplies, and checking expiration dates. The role involves inspecting, disassembling, sorting, cleaning, and processing reusable instrumentation and equipment. Additionally, the Sterilization Tech will diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make process adjustments. Maintaining current training on all applicable standard operating procedures, creating processes and tools for mobile use of GIS for data collection and consumption, and ensuring the cleanliness of the department and all processing equipment are key responsibilities. The role also includes unloading supplies, ensuring items are not compromised and stored correctly, and supporting the implementation of new technology for process execution and/or analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state regulations
  • Knowledge of the English language – composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software)
  • Ability to instill trust from the doctors, co-workers, and patients
  • Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently
  • Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities
