About The Position

The Sterilization Tech supports the clinical team in delivering high-quality dental care and helps create a comfortable, welcoming experience for patients. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies; assisting dentists and specialists during procedures; and maintaining infection-control, sterilization, and safety standards. The position also supports an organized clinical environment and works collaboratively with the dental team. Patient guidance and diagnostic-record duties may be performed when permitted by state regulations and within the employee’s credentials.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $20–$23 per hour. Benefits depend on employment status and hours worked.

Requirements

• Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the assigned duties in the state of employment.
• Hold current CPR/BLS certification or be able to obtain it before the start date.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have a positive, dependable, and willing-to-learn attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred; qualified new dental assistants may be considered depending on the practice and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records when permitted by state regulations and within credentials.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain appropriate infection-control, sterilization, and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional care.
