Central Sterilization Tech
About The Position
The Central Sterilization Tech processes dental instruments and patient care items safely and efficiently, maintains sterilization equipment and supplies, and follows OSHA and state infection-control requirements. The role also supports clinic staff and patient care as part of a team, performs related duties to support department success, and assists with dental models and appliances. Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:49 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; every other Friday, 7:49 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The employer describes a quality-oriented office that values communication, ambition, involvement, energy, organization, continuing education, personal development, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
- Process dental instruments and patient care items through sterilization safely and efficiently.
- Maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer maintenance guidelines and intervals.
- Turn equipment on in the morning and off at night.
- Manage supplies and instruments.
- Disinfect as required by OSHA and state regulations.
- Maintain sterilization log books.
- Comply with and participate in implementing safety, sterilization, and infection-control requirements, including OSHA requirements.
- Assist other clinic staff and contribute to a team approach to patient care.
- Perform other related activities as required to support program and department success.
- Properly dispose of biohazardous material.
- Pour impressions and trim models.
- Make appliances, ship them, and check in appliances.
- Work harmoniously and effectively with others toward organizational goals and objectives through teamwork.
