About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Sterilization Tech 3 for their Sterilization Services department. This is a full-time position with a shift from 2pm to 10:30pm. The role involves knowledge of sterilization supplies, equipment, and instruments, including their care, packaging, inspection, cleaning, and processing. The technician will also be responsible for the inventory and distribution of equipment and supplies for the operating room. This position acts as a lead Sterilization Technician for a specific service line, such as Robotics or Orthopedics.

Requirements

• High School or GED
• 2 years experience in the packaging, inspection, cleaning and processing of surgical instrumentation.
• Experience in Central Sterile as a Sterilization Technician.
• 2 years of experience or 1 year if has specialty certification and a graduate from a SPD or Surgical Tech training program preferred.
• Extensive experience in Central Sterile as a Sterilization Technician.
• Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years

Nice To Haves

• Graduated of a SPD or Surgical Tech training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care, packaging, inspection, cleaning, and processing of surgical instrumentation.
• Inventory and distribution of equipment and supplies for the operating room.
• Serve as a lead Sterilization Technician for a service line (e.g., Robotics, Ortho).
