About The Position
In this role the certified Sterile Processing technician will perform the following job duties under the direction of a unit charge nurse: Collect, clean, disinfect, inspect and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Maintain code carts, chest carts, urology carts. Clean hospital wide equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certification in either central service or surgery technology
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program
Nice To Haves
- Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable
