About The Position
Receives, cleans, sterilizes, and stores surgical instruments and equipment for Surgical Services – Endoscopy. The position works five days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekends included in an on-call rotation. Experience cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and reprocessing colonoscopes, endoscopes, respiratory scopes, and difficult intubation scopes is preferred. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician and successful completion of a recognized Central Sterile Processing training program are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Perform and document required quality assurance testing and inspections.
- Clean, disinfect, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
- Properly dispose of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
