About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support a busy surgical services department in West Hollywood, CA. The ideal candidate will ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment, contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
• Active certification required: CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards
• Prior experience in a hospital or surgical environment
• Must have prior travel experience (no first-time travelers)
• Availability to work night shifts and weekend schedule (Tuesday–Saturday)
• Active certification must be valid at the time of submission (no pending credentials)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and defects
• Assemble and package surgical instrument trays per facility standards
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (e.g., autoclaves)
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and logs
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Monitor sterile supply inventory and assist with restocking/orders
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards for sterile processing
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure instrument readiness
