About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join a high-volume, leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) experience
- Active certification required: CBSPD or HSPA/IAHCSMM
- Certification must be active and available at the time of submission
- Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers will not be considered)
Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and packaging of surgical instruments
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness
- Assemble surgical trays and ensure accuracy of instrument sets
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, washers, and related systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of sterilization processes
- Follow strict infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely instrument availability
