The Sterile Processing Technician receives, cleans, sterilizes, and stores surgical instruments and equipment. This per-diem position has a flexible day schedule and no weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Critical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
• Properly dispose of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
• Perform and document required quality assurance testing and inspections.
