About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician position supports the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist South and is a Full-Time weekends opportunity. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available for eligible new hires.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
- Linen Processing Experience
- Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
- High School Diploma
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required Or
- Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required Or
Responsibilities
- Understand principles of sterilization.
- Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
