About The Position
AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases. AdventHealth Surgery Center offers surgical procedures in the specialty areas of: Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, General surgery, Pain Management, Spine, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic & Cosmetic surgeries.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
