About The Position
As a Sterile Processing Technician for STERIS, you’ll work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. Working in the Sterile Processing Department, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring medical instruments are clean, sterile, organized, and available for the surgical team. This is an onsite role based in Louisville, KY.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CRCST or CBSPD certification; certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained annually.
Nice To Haves
- 0–1 years of transferable or previous Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reprocess surgical trays after surgery, ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled in a timely manner, and ready for the next case.
- Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic equipment, and drying cabinets.
- Participate in regular on-site training.
