About The Position

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, you will help protect patient safety and support surgical care through precise preparation of instruments and supplies. You will ensure items are clean, prepared, organized, and ready when needed, supporting nurses and surgeons in delivering safe, effective care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Obtain either CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification within two years of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies according to safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and promptly resolve issues.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms according to the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Work with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support efficient surgeries.
