About The Position

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents. Our 113-bed hospital offers inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care. We are a family of caregivers offering care to our larger family — our community. The Sterile Processing Technician Lead - Instrument Coordinator prepares and distributes supplies and equipment ready for use in all patient care areas, as well as for the Operating Rooms. Based on pre-determined inventory (PAR) levels, and surgical cases, these technicians count and replenish processed supplies for each location. Reusable instruments and items are collected, decontaminated, repackaged, sterilized and returned to storage or the next point of use. The Sterile Processing Technician Lead - Instrument Coordinator will also assist in training newly hired technicians. Receive, document, and distribute loaner instrumentation. Coordinate surgeon and patient specific cases on a daily basis. Communicate with vendor reps and coordinate drop off/pick up of instrumentation per policies.

Requirements

  • Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) through HSPA or other recognized or accredited program required.
  • 10 years Sterile Processing experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • CIS strongly preferred.
