About The Position

Performs entry-level core sterile processing functions at UCHealth Greeley Hospital in Greeley, Colorado. This is an onsite, PRN position working evening shifts. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA.

One year of certified experience.

Responsibilities

Decontaminate and clean instruments and equipment according to their instructions for use (IFUs).
Disassemble items before selecting the appropriate cleaning method.
Visually inspect instruments and equipment before assembling and packaging them appropriately.
Sterilize instruments and equipment according to their IFUs.
Ensure external indicators, filters, and labels are appropriate.
Perform routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and Bowie-Dick tests as appropriate.
Document work using instrument-tracking software or paper documentation as required.
Use critical thinking and decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision, and take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
