About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Shift Supervisor to lead daily sterile processing operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing workflow efficiency, and supporting high-quality instrument reprocessing for surgical services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in sterile processing, healthcare, or related setting
  • Strong knowledge of: Sterilization standards (ANSI/AAMI)
  • Strong knowledge of: Infection control practices
  • Strong knowledge of: OSHA regulations
  • Strong knowledge of: Surgical instrument reprocessing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and scheduling systems
  • One of the following certifications required: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Technician), CSPM (Certified Sterile Processing Manager), CSIS (Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist), or any equivalent sterile processing certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervise sterile processing technicians and assign daily shift responsibilities
  • Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments
  • Ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards, OSHA regulations, IFUs, and internal protocols
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain accurate documentation
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance and competencies
  • Monitor equipment functionality, maintenance, and calibration
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing, scheduling, and operational improvements
  • Manage inventory control, supply tracking, and ordering processes
  • Ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgical procedures
  • Promote infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Address workflow challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track KPIs and contribute to quality improvement programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
