About The Position

Fortis College Houston North is seeking an experienced and motivated sterile processing professional to join its faculty. The instructor will teach courses in the Sterile Processing Program. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two course preparations. The position also includes academic advising and participation in department training, meetings, and graduation. This is a part-time professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or diploma.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
• At least three years of experience as a CRCST.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sterile Processing courses.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
