About The Position

St. Catherine Hospital – Dodge City is a Joint Commission accredited 99-bed hospital that serves as a regional referral center for southwest Kansas. It provides health services including diagnostics, interventional cardiology, and cardiac rehabilitation, combining patient-centered care with modern technology and medical expertise. The Sterile Equipment Tech Lead performs routine tasks related to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. This role is responsible for the general operating and monitoring of sterilization, maintaining records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. The lead will also maintain certification, monitor and instruct certified and non-certified personnel, communicate with departments to ensure a smooth workflow, and assure daily task assignments are completed. They may be requested to assume responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor and/or Manager and will be involved with training in competency of tasks performed by staff and participate in hospital-wide educational projects.

Requirements

  • 2 years of sterile equipment processing, required
  • Computer skills, required
  • HS/GED required
  • One of the following primary Central Services certifications is required upon hire or transfer: CRCST, CBSPDT
  • One of the following post-primary certifications is required within one year of hire or transfer: CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM, CASSPT

Responsibilities
