We’re seeking a Sterile Compounding Technician / Delivery Coordinator – Flex Role who values precision, adaptability, and teamwork - someone who takes pride in doing critical work the right way and understands how every step supports patient safety and outcomes. This role is essential to the seamless delivery of safe, timely infusion therapy. By flexing between sterile compounding, delivery coordination, and warehouse support, this position strengthens operational continuity and ensures patients receive the right therapy - prepared accurately and delivered reliably. In this role, you will contribute to work that ensures compounded sterile medications meet the highest quality and safety standards, supports timely, accurate medication delivery to patients, maintains compliance with USP <797> and pharmacy regulations, strengthens collaboration across pharmacy, delivery, and operations teams, and keeps patients at the center of every workflow. Patients may never see this work, but they rely on it every day. In this flexible, cross‑trained role, you will support pharmacy operations across multiple functions based on daily needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registration or certification as required by the applicable Board of Pharmacy
  • Working knowledge of USP <797> sterile compounding standards
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures with consistent accuracy
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to sterile technique
  • Comfort working in regulated, highly structured environments

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Experience in sterile compounding, IV/home infusion, or specialty pharmacy
  • Experience with order fulfillment, delivery coordination, or warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with inventory management and pharmacy production workflows

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterile compounding activities in compliance with USP <797> standards and organizational SOPs
  • Flex across cleanroom, delivery coordination, and warehouse workflows to ensure operational coverage
  • Maintain accuracy, safety, and efficiency across medication preparation and distribution
  • Perform sterile compounding using proper aseptic technique and contamination control practices
  • Follow required garbing, hand hygiene, and cleanroom entry procedures
  • Prepare, label, and document compounded sterile preparations accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of primary and secondary engineering controls
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and disinfection tasks
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, equipment checks, and assigned QA activities
  • Participate in deviation reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Pick, pack, and stage patient orders accurately
  • Verify correct products, labeling, packaging, and documentation
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with patients, couriers, and delivery personnel
  • Prepare delivery manifests and ensure timely dispatch
  • Serve as a point of contact for delivery staff regarding routing and order details
  • Receive, unpack, and verify incoming inventory shipments
  • Rotate stock and maintain organized, compliant storage areas
  • Restock cleanroom and production areas with required supplies
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and general warehouse upkeep
  • Maintain compliance with USP <797>, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and company policies
  • Follow documentation, chain‑of‑custody, and controlled‑substance procedures
  • Support audits, training activities, and quality improvement initiatives
