About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced unit dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to patient-oriented care.
Requirements
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Must possess a valid nursing license and be licensed to practice in the state.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Prior experience in a Stepdown, Telemetry, or similar acute care setting is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with common diagnoses including heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke.
- Manage and titrate IV drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin as part of patient care.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring accurate readings and prompt response to any abnormalities.
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses and healthcare teams, participating in a structured cyclical scheduling process.
- Support and assist with patient care technician duties for optimal team efficiency.
