About The Position

The Registered Nurse will be dedicated to delivering quality patient care through clinical expertise and teamwork. This position requires critical thinking and active engagement in a culture of high reliability to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active KS or Multistate RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required at the time of submission.
• ADN or BSN required.
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down experience required.
• Immunity status for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (verified by titer) or proof of vaccination series completion is needed.
• TDaP and Influenza vaccines or exemption requests during flu season are required.
• TB documentation is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred (testing out option available).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through clinical expertise and teamwork.
• Utilize critical thinking skills.
• Actively engage in a culture of high reliability to enhance patient outcomes.
• Care for patients undergoing Colorectal surgeries (colectomy, bowel resection, ostomy, hernia repair).
• Care for patients undergoing Urological procedures (TURP, kidney stones, prostatectomy).
• Care for patients undergoing Orthopedic surgeries (hip fractures, ankle fractures, amputations).
• Care for patients undergoing Plastic surgeries (debridements).
• Provide care for specialty wound care & surgical drains.
• Float to other post-surgical floors and other med-surg inpatient floors as needed.
