About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to adults with various medical conditions.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Competency in arterial line management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
• Ability to adapt to a diverse patient population, serving varying cultural backgrounds, primarily Hispanic and Somali.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, focusing on patient-centered communication and responsiveness.
• Manage and administer medication, including titration of drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment, including arterial lines, vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow systems.
• Monitor patient vitals and read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Mentor and support nursing aides and patient care technicians.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and competencies.
