About The Position

We are looking for smart, creative, dynamic instructors from all backgrounds to teach LEGO classes and camps where students are introduced to a range of STEM concepts while being given the tools to unlock their creativity and their problem-solving skills. Instructors serve as a representative of Play-Well in a positive and professional manner, completing all training programs as required by the Area Manager. They must understand the curriculum and concepts thoroughly to be able to provide value to participants with diverse abilities and interests. The role involves managing each class session, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and having fun, and communicating with parents and clients in a knowledgeable, respectful, and tactful manner to address questions or concerns. Adherence to all Play-Well and facility safety procedures and procedures for supervision and release of children is required. The instructor is responsible for the care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned LEGO teaching kit(s), responding quickly to communications from management, and regularly communicating with the Area Manager with questions, concerns, and updates.

Requirements

  • Serves as a representative of Play-Well in a positive and professional manner.
  • Completes all training programs as required by the Area Manager.
  • Understands the curriculum and concepts thoroughly.
  • Manages each class session, ensuring the children are safe, engaged, and having fun.
  • Communicates with parents and clients in a knowledgeable, respectful and tactful manner.
  • Adheres to all Play-Well and facility safety procedures and procedures for supervision and release of children.
  • Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned LEGO teaching kit(s).
  • Responds quickly to communications from management, whether by phone, text, email or mail.
  • Regularly communicates with Area Manager with questions, concerns and updates.
  • Reliable transportation a must.
  • Secure location to store teaching materials.
  • Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment.

  • Teaching/Instruction experience is preferred.
